Description
Hyaluronic (HA) is a fluid that exists in every single living organism. It keeps the entire body lubricated and moisturized, with the highest concentrations found in the skin and synovial fluid in the joints. Hyaluronic (HA) in our joints is a long, and complex molecule that forms into a ball shape, which resists compression. As we age, those molecules break down and lose their ability to keep a ball shape, resulting in pain and stiffness. This molecule is part of a group of macromolecules, known as glucosaminoglycans (GAG's), which are an important network of substances providing structural integrity to cells and joints.
