Description
Fiber Plus Caps provide all the benefits of fiber, to restore and promote regularity, plus the additional colon cleansing benefits of senna. The fiber formula includes all five fiber types. Just the right amount of senna is included to give definite cleansing benefits. The capsule dosage form is preferred by many consumers for its convenience.
Ingredients
Active Ingredients: Psyllium seed husks, 2.5 grams per dose; Senna extract providing 12 mg sennosides per dose.Other Ingredients: Acacia gum, barley bran, dandelion root, fruit pectin, ginger root, oat bran, red clover tops.
Recommended Use
Start by taking 1 dose each day. Gradually increase to 3 doses per day as needed. Swallow one capsule at a time. Take this product (child or adult dose) with at least 8 ounces (a full glass) of water or other fluid. Taking this product without enough liquid may cause choking. See warnings. Drinking additional liquid is helpful. If minor gas or bloating occurs, reduce the amount you take until your system adjusts. For relief of occasional irregularity; results generally within 6 to 12 hours.
Warnings
Do not use this product when abdominal pain, nausea, or vomiting are present. Do not use for more than one week without consulting a doctor. This product may cause allergic reaction in people sensitive to inhaled or ingested psyllium. Taking this product without adequate fluid may cause it to swell and block your throat or esophagus and may cause choking. Do not take this product if you have difficulty in swallowing. If you experience chest pain, vomiting, or difficulty in swallowing or breathing after taking this product, seek immediate medical attention. Keep out of the reach of children.
Additional Fiber Plus Notes
Swell Volume: For formulas with psyllium husks, the USP requires a minimum of 31.4 ml/g swell volume, a measure of how absorbent the fiber is. Yerba Prima Fiber Plus Caps exceeds the standard with a normal swell volume of 50 to 60 ml/g, which means that it is absorbing 50 to 60 times its weight in liquid and waste materials as it passes through the digestive system.
